Fusion Risk Management Appoints Industry Leader Melanie Lucht as Vice President of Customer Success

Chicago, IL and London, UK  Fusion Risk Management, Inc. (“Fusion”), a leading provider of operational resilience and business continuity software, has announced the appointment of Melanie Lucht as Vice President of Customer Success. In her role, Lucht will accelerate Fusion’s focus on customer service and engagement to enhance the overall experience for the company’s rapidly expanding global customer base. 

Lucht joins Fusion from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), where she served as Associate Vice President and Chief Risk Officer and led the institution’s risk and resilience initiatives. During her tenure at CMU, she headed up the transformation of their continuity and resilience initiatives into an integrated and robust program, working closely with the Fusion team and platform.   

I am incredibly proud to have been a part of Carnegie Mellon University for nearly 12 years, and during that time I benefited from the unique, dynamic Fusion platform designed specifically for continuity and resilience teams. My goal is to help Fusion’s global customer base experience the same benefits I did at CMU – having a panoramic view of dependencies to make better decisions and drive better outcomes for their organizations. 

At CMU, Lucht oversaw the Enterprise Risk Management, Environmental Health and Safety, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity, and Emergency Preparedness departments. She is a Master Business Continuity Professional, a member of the Business Continuity Institute, a Certified Insurance Counselor, and Certified Continuity Manager. In addition, she is an Editorial Advisory Board member for both the Disaster Recovery Journal and the Journal of Business Continuity and Emergency Planning. She was also recognized internationally by the Business Continuity Institute as Continuity and Resiliency Professional of the Year for the private sector and serves as a coach and guest lecturer for the Chief Risk Officer Executive Education Program through CMU’s Heinz College.
