The award recognizes Halford’s commitment to innovation and his work to strengthen business continuity and operational resilience initiatives at Fusion and throughout the wider risk and resilience community.
The BCI Americas Awards 2024 recognize the outstanding contributions of business continuity, risk, and resilience practitioners and organizations living and operating within the Americas region. The judging panel consists of risk and resiliency professionals and is adjudicated to the BCI Competency Framework to recognize and celebrate the achievements of nominees and the resilience community based on established industry standards and best practices.

Halford joined Fusion in 2016 following decades of experience in business continuity and risk management. In the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, he was in charge of leading Hewlett–Packard’s external business continuity practice and spurred internal organizations to thoroughly examine and mitigate vulnerabilities across all facets of their operations.
Upon joining Fusion, Halford embarked on a journey marked by transformative growth and collaboration. As a subject matter expert in business continuity and disaster recovery, he has played a pivotal role in founding Fusion’s consulting practice. Under his strategic leadership, Fusion has transitioned from a feature-driven product development approach to a value-centric strategy. He has helped the company develop Fusion Resilience Copilot™, an AI-powered solution that revolutionizes incident resolution and provides deeper insights for Fusion customers. He has also spearheaded the development of Fusion’s dynamic planning and response capabilities, elevating traditional business continuity and resiliency planning to include agile, responsive strategies.
